US Debt Ceiling

What do you think should the US raise the Debt Ceiling. Many say raising it would be like taking out more credit to pay an existing Credit Card Account in default. The government has already spent so much money that it may not be able to repay. The US is in jeopardy of having its credit rating reduced for the first time in history. Would make us no better than France and that’s saying allot.
